About Daniel

I started tutoring because I just wanted and extracurricular, but found that I had a deep passion for education. I think in a way, teaching has made me more curious on wanting to learn more and teach the things I learn.

I tutored physics during university. My leadership experiences in church gave me experience on how to facillitate and foster good communication. And I also tutored chemistry, AP Physics C and Calculus BC at Sagepoint.

I like to greet the students and get to know them a little better. I also like to know what they're learning beforehand so I can prepare additional materials before I arrive.

college students, high school students, elementary kids for volunteering

Math and physical sciences at the college level really challenge you to think outside the box. Always be ready to look at different solutions and think about what equations mean and look holistically at the cheese problems and solutions rather than seeing them as some quantity.

When I was studying for MCAT, I had several tutors teaching different subjects. One of my tutors, whether she knows it or not, made a deep impact on me on how I want to teach. Her style was very personable and encouraging. She really blurred the divide between teacher and student, and because that barrier seemed invisible I saw her as not just a tutor but as someone I respect and wanted to learn from. She spoke in a way that catered to my own interests, but she was also strict and always invested in my learning.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Did I try my best to find the answer? Can I do this on my own, but with some guided assistance first?
