About Ella
I genuinely enjoy teaching others and helping them overcome obstacles and succeed. I love to help with academics but I'm also available to chat about things like college admissions and applications. I really am here to support other students, of all ages, in any way that I can. I have been tutoring for years. I don't have any specific certifications; however, I have been teaching in and out of academics forever. I am a swim coach and swim instructor, and I have taught kids of all ages how to math it up and improve their swimming.
I love experiencing the moment when everything clicks with a student, and they really start to understand the material. The moment a student no longer needs my help, while sometimes sad, makes me feel very proud and happy to have helped them reach that point.
I am a Neuroscience major at Georgia Tech, and I have previous teaching experience in and outside of academics. I recieved a 4.0 in all of my math courses up and through Linear Algebra, which includes Calculus.

I first talk with the student to get a feel of what their strengths and weaknesses are and to get an understanding of what they need help with. I also try and get a feeling for what type of learnign techniques and tutoring style the student will be more responsive to and successful with. Then we get into the learning!
