About Matthew
Teaching wasn’t always my passion; my goal for the longest time was to play my sport until I couldn’t anymore, then coach. I loved coaching because of the interactions and ability to create relationships with younger people who had the same passion I did. But I had this calling to something bigger; I could have such a big impact on many more than just a single sports team, I could help so many more as a teacher. I challenged myself to be uncomfortable and be a better communicator and develop stronger interpersonal skills. I found a love for teaching those that struggled in the classroom, especially math. I live for the moment they figure out how to solve equations that looked so overwhelming before! I have a Masters degree, have taught special Ed and ESE student in math for 3 years now, and want to help even more kids be successful!
