About Lindsey
Hello, my name is Lindsey! I am a Junior transfer student at UC Berkeley currently majoring in Physics with 2+ years of tutoring experience. I believe deeply in fostering an environment where my students are allowed to think for themselves rather than simply giving them the answer. I always meet students where they're at, and from there, help students develop the critical thinking skills necessary to solve problems on their own while acting as a guide whenever they get stuck.
I have two associates degrees: An A.S. in Mathematics and an A.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies: Math and Science. I also have worked at my college's Math Center for one and a half years tutoring college students in subjects ranging from basic mathematical concepts to introductory linear algebra. Before that, I worked at an elementary school as an after school aid where I helped students struggling with mathematics. That being said, I have an extensive history both learning mathematics myself as well as teaching mathematics to a wide variety of students.
I know that everyone is capable of excelling in mathematics, sometimes people just need a little push!
