About Brandon

With my service I make individual lesson plans for each of my students that not only focuses on content, but also test taking strategies and tips. I believe that the connection between the student and the teacher is just as important as learning the content, especially when studying for high stress exams.

I've tutored part time for about a year now, with great success among my clients on other platforms. Last semseter in my undergrad I was recognized by my department for my efforts to go above and beyond for my students. Recently I finished SAT training by West Palm Test Prep, learning state of the art methods for how to approach the SAT and exams in general.

I also have a policy that if you do not like the service I provide on the first lesson it will be free of charge minus the quoting fee.

Love helping students avoid the pitfalls I had when taking mathematical courses or college exams like the SAT.

Originally through friends, but then I got employed by varsity tutors as a contractor.

I have been professionally tutoring for over a year as a contractor and have served as a teachers assistant for higher level mathematics courses at Stony Brook University. Recently I was trained to be a SAT tutor by West Palm Test Prep.

About the lesson

Generally I want to break the ice to allow a more personal connection to foster between myself and the student. I will then set some reasonable expectations with the student for their coursework, along with a brief understanding of their skill level.

High school and college level students from various backgrounds both domestic and abroad.

Anyone can teach the material, but not everyone can create a connection that will help the student grow. Look for those who are not only experts but have a way of explaining concepts in simple terms.

Helping my most recent student get a 96 on his college level stats midterm. He has come a long way since we started, being completely lost at the begining.
