About Cindy
My favorite age group is middle schoolers! They are really coming into their own way of thinking at this point which makes them fun, interesting and often misunderstood. I have spent years working with kids with some learning challenges, social anxiety and overall lack of self esteem to build them up, break things down and bring out the best in them so they will succeed long after I have worked with them.
My general focus includes math concepts, ELA and writing skills, public speaking, debate, theater, history/social studies ond overal study skills and organization.

I have 3 rules. 1. They must agree to have fun with me because studies show having fun while learning something has a better chance to be understood and remembered for a long time. 2. They must be totally honest with me when I work with them so I can understand what they need, what they understand and what we truly must work on. 3. They must learn to laugh and learn from mistakes. No one is perfect! If we all knew everything, we wouldn't need school! After that, walls come down and we become a team!
