About Mae
I have taught 4th grade the past 2 years: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I just moved from Texas to Iowa and am substitute teaching in the Cedar Falls School District for this season. I also teach English online to students in China on Monday through Friday early in the morning. I have been doing this for 2.5 years. I am comfortable teaching virtually.
I absolutely love that each student is a unique individual with special talents, gifts, and abilities. I enjoy tapping into these gifts and abilities in order to bring the best out of each student I work with! I enjoy helping students take on an attitude of "I can!" and see them grow their minds and hearts in the process.
My current education/training:
-Bachelors degree
-Texas teaching endorsement for grades 4-8 in Core subjects (Langauge Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies)
-ESL certificate
-Substitute Authorization in state of Iowa
-2 years & 3 months experience as 4th grade teacher
-2.5 years experience as online English teacher
