About MICHAEL

Many students have the perception that they are simply "not good at math". With many of these students, I find that mathematics has not been explained to them in the proper way as to allow them to understand. That is where I come in-

I work full time as a Chemical Engineer in NJ. I have tutored in math, chemistry and physics at the college level.

LinkedIn profile: (concealed information)

I have taught people all of my life, everytime I learn someting new I teach my loved ones about it.  I gained profesional experience tutoring at the college level working as a student tutor (while I earned my 2nd degree).

I have a BA in Psychology and a BS in CHemical Engineering, with AS degrees in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.  I have worked as a tutor for my community college as well as privately.  I am the oldest of three brothers.

Search for textbook answers for clues as to the logic used by the authors.

Through working problems and watching, I can help students made adjustments in how they:

Break down the problem

Start the problem

Verbalize the situation

WRITE the lines to the solution

and discover any shortcomings along the way-

My students have ranged from kids in thier late teens to adults in thier 60s who were just returning to school-

Find someone who can break things down in an extremely easy to understand way.  It IS possible to do so-

My middle brother passed away a few years back.  Every year on his birthday my youngest brother and I make it a point to enjoy some of his favorite foods, including: fried chicken and pasta with garlic and oil-

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
