About Annie
I am currently studying Elementary Education, and I am passionate about helping students! While I have tutored more privately in the past, I decided that I wanted to be more involved with tutoring. I still attend classes for my degree, and I am currently student teaching on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Anderson 5 school district.
I really enjoy being able to help students feel more comfortable and confident in their work!
I first found a love for teaching when I took a Teacher Cadets course in high school. Since then, I have been working towards getting my degree in education and plan to begin on my Master's degree in the spring.
I am currently studying Elementary Education and I have had experience in creating lesson plans and teaching in a classroom.

When working with a new student, I would like to have an initial meeting to discuss the content and areas we need to focus on. I want to work together with the student to create the best possible learning environment for them to succeed. In order to so this, I need to get to know them a little bit and how they learn best.
I have worked with a variety of students including those that are struggling with reading, math, and science.
My advise to students looking to hire a tutor, is to meet with a few different candidates before choosing one. The best way to learn is when you are comfortable and confident with those you are working with!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should really reflect on the problem areas that they want to address with a teacher, and how motivated they are to make a change in their work. It all begins with you!
