About Rolando

I have been tutoring for five years. I have always loved helping others understand difficult topics. I also experienced the lack of one-on-one instruction in the education system so I have tailored my sessions to provide the best explanations. I am also studying medicine and have been working with patients which has improved my communication abilities. I was a Resident Assistant in college and have learned to work well with people from various backgrounds. I am a native Spanish and English speaker and am comfortable with Italian and French.

I began tutoring in high school for chemistry and loved helping people. I expanded my subjects since then.

I have been a tutor since high school and was trained in each subject to be able to tutor. I also tutor on my own during college and continue to do so now.

About the lesson

I meet with the student to understand their areas of difficulty. I also get to know the student so I can tailor the tutoring experience to his/her learning style.

I have worked with elementary, middle, and high school students as well as college students.

I would advise them to meet with the potential teacher first to see if they feel comfortable. Their credentials will always be similar to many other teachers, but what really matters is how they teach and if they have a passion to teach others.

I have been interpreting at a free clinic and I find this opportunity very meaningful. I love seeing smiles on people's faces. There is no amount of money that can surpass the joy of helping those in need.

They should think about what types of subjects they understand the least. They should also think about how they study for exams so that the teacher can teach the student in a way that helps them learn best. They should also always ask the teacher why they are teaching.
