About Michael
I'm Michael! I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. As a STEM major I have fallen in love with the beauty and art of mathematics. As a tutor I want to see my students have that same love and appreciation of mathematics. As an elementary and middle school student math was my favorite subject, however, in high school I fell out of interest in the subject. At that time I saw no point in math and did not understand why I needed to learn it, therefore, I did not want to learn it. Since preparing for the SAT and College, my love of math has been rekindled. I want to kindle that same love and admiration for mathematics in my students. I am now proficient in Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Geometry, Trigonometry and after three tests (two of which I earned 100%) I currently have a +98% in Calculus 1. I also regularly help a few of my classmates with what they struggle on.
I will work with students one-on-one to strengthen their weak skills and I will help to show how important mathematics is. I am excited to work with you and further your journey in the land of mathematics. Please feel free to contact me and set up a time to meet!
