----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi! I'm Dasia Garvin, founder of Math on a Mission Tutoring Services and a middle school math teacher with 8 years of experience teaching students in grades 6–8.

I believe every student can be successful in math with the right support. My goal is to help students strengthen their understanding, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to become independent mathematical thinkers.

As a classroom teacher, I've learned that every student is different. Some need help filling skill gaps, while others need someone who believes in them and encourages them to take risks. That's why I take time to build relationships with each student and create a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education and Master of Education in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. I bring both classroom experience and individualized instruction to every tutoring session.

At Math on a Mission, my mission is simple:

"Building confidence, one problem at a time."

Whether your child needs extra support, wants to strengthen foundational skills, or is looking for an additional challenge, I'm here to help them move forward with confidence.
