About Alissa

I have a passion for helping students succeed! I tutored math and physics while in college, and found that I enjoyed it. I completed my degree in civil engineering and pursued and completed my masters degree in engineering as well. I always wanted to go back to tutoring, though, even while working as a professional engineer.

My style is side by side, asking leading questions so the student can learn to think of the next step and formulate how to solve a problem independently. I can teach different methods to cater to the students learning style and to help them get a full understanding of the topic. I am currently tutoring students in 4th grade through college level, mathematics and physics.

I enjoy getting to know my students and celebrating their successes!
