About Kaylah
What makes my service stands out is the tools I like to use in order to ensure student success.
I love to include interactive games and rewards to make learning fun.
I like to give access to youtube videos and webinars (videos are speciific math problems solved by me for reference) that the student can have access to while working on their own.
I love it when the parents are involved! I like to keep communication open with parents and appreciate feedback! Also, I do not hold back on commending the student on effort and progress. My goal is to always keep the learning process encouraging and motivating.

I like to see students progress. I beleive teaching is a privelage because it is such a positive way to impact youth and make a difference. I like to instill and motivate students to have a love for learning and not being afraid to make mistakes. Therefore I try to set the example by always being excited about the material in my tutoring lessons.
I got started teaching with the After School Program! It was such an excited experience! It revealed to me my passion for teaching others and always having a love for learning.
I am a undergaduate in Elementry education, finishing my last year! Woo hoo!
I have been an after school program instructor for 3 1/2 years, and currently am a paraprofessional with the school district, as well as a Online Enlgish Instructor.
My position as a after school program instructor was to implement alternative instruction to help students succeed in each academic subject. I have worked on STEM instruction during this time, and used games as a strategic method to make learning exciting!

Initially, I strive to understand the student academically so I can indivisualize my methods to that students needs. I ask questions that help me gain a understanding of how to make each session as effective as possible. Therefore, I will eventually explain how each session will work in order to prepare the student for success. In addition, I try to instill confidence right in the beginning with a new student. Tutoring can make a student aware of their limitations, so my goal as a tutor is to not only help the student work towards success academically, but to also give them the confience they need to continue progessing. Each student will understand that they can overcome any obstacle that comes their way if they take out a little time to do so. My goal as a tutor is instruct, guide and motivate each indivisual I work with.
I have worked with students from K-6, I have experience and training working with students who have Autism. Also I have special training in working with English learning, Spanish and Chinese.
