About Allie
Hi! My name is Allie Mullin and I teach fifth grade math and history at a local private school. I love to tutor and help remediate with students who need a little extra push to fully understand new concepts and ideas. I have been teaching for two years and got my degree from UT Austin. I have taught both overseas in Africa and here in Dallas. I love to teach students in both elementary and middle school and can assist with math and writing needs. I am passionate about making sure that all students reach their full potential. I am happy to work through zoom or can meet at your location of choice.
I began to have a passion for teaching while interning for a nonprofit overseas in Kenya. I moved to Kenya after college and taught 5th-8th grade english and history. It was an absolutely wonderful experience so I came back home and began teaching at a classical school here in Dallas.
I have a BS in Human Development and a focus on early childhood development from UT at Austin. I also have taught two years; one in Kenya and one here in Dallas at a private school.

I usually give them a short assessment to see where they are and then begin remediation/homework or whatever they would like help with. We focus on the problem areas while having fun and working toward consistent practice. I am a BIG believer in repetition!
I have worked with all kinds of students. I interned with visually impaired students in Austin and have learned alot about ADHD from my sister who was diagnosed very early. I currently work with students from low income homes and love the community I have with them.
