About Fiona
I am a Title 1 teacher at an elementary school. I am currently receiving my masters in reading specialist. I have ample experience working in all grade levels providing intervention for both literacy and math.
I love working with children and being able to see growth. There is nothing for fulfilling when working with a student and they finally get that "ah-ha" moment and things start to click for them. I enjoy to give students a foundation of their learning and really understand the why of what they are learning.
I started as a paraprofessional in a 2nd grade classroom for a year. I then covered a kindergarten classroom as a long-term substitute. Last year, I become a title 1 teacher working with grades k-3.
I have a bachelors degree in elementary education as well as getting my masters in reading specialist.

I like to start my first meeting with students to get to know them and their strengths and weaknesses. Depending on their target area they need support in, I will give them a quick assessment to see specific areas they need support in. From there, I will target the specific areas of concern and engage them in the process.
I have worked with all grade levels in elementary level.
