About Austin

Teaching has been a passion of mine since the 2nd grade. From that point I've refined my skills and have enjoyed working with countless people. Learning is not only fun, it's cool! Full of laughter, excitement, rigor, and adventure, learning is why I wake up every monring. It is my greatest gift to share learning by tutoring as I work my way through a doctoral program.

My expereince teaching has been focussed on technology, business, board sports, gymnastics, & juggling until preparing for my PhD. It was then that I began tutoring my colleagues in statistics and found a passion for professional tutoring.

I have a niche of working with those whom struggle with confidence, need concepts explained and tailored to their learning styles, and who are typically adverse to the traditional educational model. Reshaping the current education system in this country is my long-term goal and it begins at the level of the individual today.

BA/S dual degree: Contemplative Neuroscience & Music Theory

4+ years as a Technology Specialist for Mercedes Benz

6+ years as an Acrobatic Instructor

3+ years as a PSIA Snowboard/Ski Instructor

About the lesson

Take 5-10 minutes getting to know each other, lay down some happy rules for checking in on understanding and asking questions, and then hearing if they recognize any areas they want to work on.
