About Gwendolynn
Hi. I am a 1st and 2nd grade Para for the Westland, MI school district. I have also substitute for K thru 4th grade. I specialize in building reading and math skills and enjoy making learning fun. My own children are 24, 21 and 13 years old. We also have 1 lizard and 5 dogs! I am very passionate about reading because it gives the person the freedom to dream bigger. I use incentives with my students and positive encouragement. I also stress the need for hard work and responsibility on my part as teacher and the student because the improvement will greatly benefit their future. Most of my education is in the community health science and psychology,for which due to family responsibilities, had to be put on a pause but I'm currently in U of M working towards fulfilling this goal.
