About Manuel
I provide personalized one-on-one lessons, evaluating each students learning style and providing appropiate techniques for maximum understanding. Bilingual in english and spanish.
Education is the core of success. Tutoring is a vast step to encourage somebody in need. It help students to improve their education, enhance their skills and achieve more progress in their life. As a tutor, it is rewarding to help somebody grow acadamically and personally as a result of our efforts. Also, it is fun to teach a subject that I have always enjoyed (such as math).
I started in 2017 when I joined FIU's tutoring center.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from FIU with a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering. Also, I worked for over a year in FIU tutoring college students in math and physics. I obtained a "Level II Tutor" certificated at FIU.

About the lesson

Introduce myself and let the student indtroduce themself. Then, ask the student about the subject he/she is having troubles with and let him/her explain the procedure he/she is using to solve the problem. Then I would guide the student to the correct procedure encouraging he/she to identify the incorrect logic. Finally I would let the student re-explain the procedure to check his/her understanding and encourage him/her to work the next problem on his/her own.
