About Jillianne
I understand how children learn and their learning styles and teach using a multi sensory approach designed for your child's specific needs. Former NJ Certified elementary and special education teacher with 20+ years experience trained in Orton Gillingham, Wilson Fundations, The Readers and Writers workshop and Various math programs. I teach for success, develop confidence and a growing sense of "I can" as your child reaches new milestones.
I have a masters in education plus specific training in reading, language arts and math instruction. I hold standard NJ Certification as an Elementary teacher K-5, Teacher of Students with Disabilities, and Supervision as Orrin Gillingham instruction.

Initially I will speak with a child's parents about the academic challenges the child is facing, possible factors that may be affecting learning, education history etc. I meet with the child to understand their experiences and self perception. Following the interviews, and info gathering I will assess the child's strengths and needs and develop a learning plan to support them. if appropriate I willingly work with the child's teacher to maintain continuity and support the child's classroom experiences.
