About Kirsten
I enjoy helping students understand difficult concepts. The moment of pride on a student's face when they are able to correctly solve problems on their own is remarkable. I push students to not only understand concepts, but encourage them to dig deeper for an enriched understanding.
I am graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Psychology. I have worked in several different tutoring centers, as well as volunteer at after-school programs. I also have observed classrooms during fieldwork experiences.

Usually I like to get an idea of what exactly the student needs help with. I also like to learn what activities, hobbies etc. the student enjoys because I've learned that being able to formulate a question to make it relatable to the child helps them better understand.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to narrow down what you specifically need help with. If you tell your teacher you just don't understand anything, it can be hard for them to go over the entire lesson with you again. Try to find specific questions or problems you didn't know to tell them pinpoint the area you're struggling with.
