About Vidyut

As a student, I am very passionate about learning and applying the knowledge learned to various real world applications in my life. Although schools do well in teaching concepts, they can make it slightly complicated for a new learner to understand. To solve this issue many students are facing around the world, I can offer easier and more comprehensible solutions. Schools are often fixed on the final answer, making students unable to comprehend the reasoning behing the solution. From firsthand experience, I can share my knowledge, helping students achieve their desired results in an efficient manner. I can ensure a multitude of practice problems covering different cases and situations for mathematical concepts are covered. I am a highschool student who has earned the highest grades for full year courses of Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, Pre-Algebra, and elementary level math. As a musician, I take a calculated approach to music. I am able to teach music in a way understandable to students. Many music schools and school music programs, spend a long time teaching inefficient methods in order help students play a simple piece. Rather, by teaching students simple and applicable techniques, it is easy for them to learn the same skillset, without 2 or 3 years. I specialize as a piano teacher, composer, sound engineer, and concert pianist.

I started teaching in my freshman year of high school. Knowing there could have been a better way for me to learn music and math, I don't want other students to encounter these issues. I want students to have clarity and understand the real world application of these concepts. I started to teach to my brother, and that branched out to some of my friend's brothers and sisters. Soon, I started going around my community and offering my experience.

I have 10+ years of piano playing experience. I have performed at Carnegie Hall and other prominent concert halls. I have certified ABRSM courses, certified by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. In these courses I have gotten the highest marks of distinction. Also, I learn cultural bollywood music and have composed music, branching into sound engineering. I have first hand experience in teaching students ranging from 6 years old to 13 years old.

About the lesson

For music, I love to see students be inquisitive. I would encourage my students to ask questions and start the conversation. My lessons would be student led, in order for students to drive their learning, rather than being spoonfed. This is important in ensuring students are ready to live an independent life as they progress into adulthood. Most importantly, is getting to know the student on a personal level and obtaining a solid understanding of the student's strengths and weaknesses. Assessing this, I would build a basis of understanding and build upon what a student already knows, in order to further their understanding and application of problems at hand.

I have worked with a diverse array of students from different cultural backgrounds. I am a sociable person who loves speaking to people and creating long-lasting interactions. I have worked with students from the autism spectrum, and I have found teaching these students the most interesting. I find new ways to teach and adapt my teaching style in order to accomodate all my students. Not only am I able to teach my students, my students are able to teach me and help me learn more about them as an individual.

I would advise a student to find a teacher that matches along with their personality. To have meaningful connections with the teacher is highly important in ensuring an effective and interesting teaching and learning experience. So students should experiment with teachers until they are able to find a teacher. Find a teacher who is knowledgeable about the subject and who truly has a passion to teach children rather than doing it for the money.

I can recall an instance in school where one of my classmates asked me to help them with their work. I was able to explain the concept in a simple way to them, which made them do very well on an assessment. I learned that my expertise is not limited to a younger generation of students, but can also help students of my age.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should seek help in their own learning environment first. Tehy should seek the help of their parents and friends. They should resort to a tutor if all else fails. At this step, the student and tutor should sit down and plan a schedule in order for students to learn their desired concepts in a timely manner.
