About Dan
I focus on teaching in a way that is effective for each individual. Sometimes this relies heavily on matching personalities between the student and myself. One of the greatest predictors of success is having a connection with the student. I strive to make the subject matter fun and relevant.
My entire goal is to improve the future trajectory of a student with a solid foundation of early life math. When they understand the fundamentals, you can bet the salary level of those future adults will benefit greatly.
I started teaching when my kids needed help with their math during homeschool. I've grown to understand how helpful my knowledge can be to other youth that are learning math skills.
Graduated in the top 5% of my high school class. Took AP Math, English, and Computer Programming. My professional career spans decades. Throughout, I have never lost my aptitude for algebra. Teacher to my two kids.

I ask lots of questions of my new students in order to get to know them as a person AND to understand their grasp of the subject.
Elementary, middle and high school
Find a person that makes you laugh and have fun in the midst of learning. If you are drowsy and bored, then your tutor isn't a good fit.
