About Thomas

To whom it may concern,

I am excited about this current opportunity at your company as I am eager to learn more about it and a firm believer that I am a great fit not only for the role, but also the organization as a whole. As a professional with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and minor in Accounting with 4+ years of diverse experience in various Finance/Accounting roles, I excel at financial analysis in order to provide better strategic decision making, provide customized solutions to corporate problems and understand business drivers for better reporting and compliance.

The vast experience I have from analyzing and implementing Accounting and Finance processes/procedures, generating detailed reports and financial models to presenting findings to upper management teams, has prepared me to excel in this role. With proven success in providing financial or operational support as an individual contributor or in a team environment, this role would fall perfectly in my domain.

I have enjoyed working with numbers from an early age as I have always had a high quantitative aptitude that has now translated into my ability to make sense of the numbers and provide a competitive advantage for past employers. To mention a few examples:

Built a financial model to benchmark financial performance for multinational corporations in the Agriculture Industry by analyzing and synthesizing historical data in order to forecast future quarterly sales (5% discrepancy from actual future results) leading to better strategic decision making from a price and volume standpoint for the company’s products.

Created and implemented new accounting process leading to a reduction of 3 man-hours improving efficiency within the organization.

Creating and editing write-ups for manager to be used for Board of Directors meetings.

Proven leadership track record from training and mentoring new hires and interns.

Thank you for taking the time to read my cover letter and resume. If you are searching for a new hire armed with the vision and know-how to increase value in your organization, I would welcome the opportunity to speak to you and discuss my qualifications in more depth.

Yours Sincerely,

Thomas Mandhlazi
