About Taylor

Hello everyone! My name is Taylor, and I am currently attending college online at Fullerton College working towards getting into nursing school.

Enough about me though, this year has hit everyone so hard and I would love to help some parents with kids who may need some help not only getting their schoolwork done but also fully learning and comprehending the lessons. Whether you need help with something specific subject like Algebra, Geometry, multiplication facts, long division, and Chemistry or just someone there to make sure your kid stays on top of everything despite this crazy season we are all in, I would love to help!

I am great with kids (grew up the oldest out of three), one who has dyslexic and ADD/ADHD, and we all were fostered and adopted, so I am comfortable around all kids of all ages and good at communicating with them in a way they understand.

I have always loved working with kids; whether they were close in age to me or not I enjoy interacting and getting to know them. With COVID it has been difficult for everyone especially kids having to do schooling at home so I'd love to be one of the little social interactions they get during the week while getting some work done!

About the lesson

I first like to get a feel for how the student thinks, the way their brain takes in information. Are they a visual learner? Are they an audio learner? Are they a combination? That way I can figure out how best to move on and make sure we get the work done while actually taking in the material.

Once I know how they will best receive and retain information then I like to try and figure out fun ways to motivate them and get them to learn how to use their time wisely so that eventually they won't need my help anymore.

My main goal is putting myself in the student's shoes and thinking, "What will help me? What do I need?" that way I can communicate with the in a way that will be helpful and make sense to them.
