About Franco
Hello! One of my favorite things is helping someone learn something that was previously a mystery to them. That sudden "A-ha!" moment that everyone has when learning something new and difficult is an amazing feeling to have, as is the feeling when you help someone reach that enlightened state.
I have been tutoring students in subjectes ranging from pre-algebra to abstract algebra to differential equations for over 4 years (in person and online via tutor.com and varsity tutors), have been awarded many FAMAT trophies and have a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida.

I generally enjoy math, and this extends to teaching it as well. I enjoy seeing how a proof or equation comes together or simplifies, and I think it's amazing how a simple and straightforward value or algorithm can arise from a complex and convoluted problem.
This is all compounded by the possibility of sharing this revelatory experience with someone else, which makes it all the more enjoyable and, in my mind, memorable.
I began in high school, training other students to become stronger competitors at regional, state and national math competitions.
I have a BS in engineering, and have taken many math classes to that end, including some for my own pleasure.

I first determine if the root cause of the student's confusion is caused by misconception of a foundational topic, and then work to correct it and work back upwards.
