About Kyle

I am an 8th Grade Science & AVID teacher with a Masters in the Art of Teaching and credentials in Biology and Chemistry. Along with tutoring for the content in the subject matters I offer, I am also always willing to help with your studying and organizational skills. Time management, effective studying, and tight organization are all very important factors of academic success!

I also have 10 years of experience of doing graduation photos for UCI graduates and other events such as engagements, families, and headshots. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- Masters in the Art of Teaching (MAT), UCI 2021

- Credentialed in Biology & Chemistry

- Degrees in Neurobiology and Education Science

- Specialization in Digital Media & Learning

- 4 years as a Science Teacher, 2 years as an AVID Teacher

- Tutor Training through UCI Edu 100, Tutored 6th Grade

- 3 Years of Tutoring science math and writing experience, virtual and in-person

- Dean's Honor List Fall 2017 - Spring 2019 (GPA > 3.5)

I began student teaching during 2020 when it was a hybrid model classroom in Tustin. Through this unique experience, I had to get crafty with both physical and digital methods of reaching students.

I currently hold a Masters in the Art of Teaching and credentials in Biology and Chemistry. I spent a year teaching biology and environmental science at the high school level, and have been teaching 8th Grade Integrated Science for 3 years.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I first want to assess their strengths and prior knowledge to better be able to understand the approach I as a personalized tutor should make. After familiarizing myself with the student's academic needs and curriculum, we can begin the process of coursework completion and practice.

I have worked with students of all kinds of backgrounds. I have experience modifying curriculum and adjusting to meet the needs of students of all types of abilities and IEPs. I also have experience working with English Language Learners, utilizing tools and translations to allow students better access to the content.
