About Barbara
Experienced tutor with over 20 years classroom experience. Best qualifed to work with students age 9 - 14. All subjects. Expertise in math and supporting students to learn how to love working with numbers. Singapore math is a focus where students learn to model their word problems. Numerous references available upon request.
Working one-on-one with students brings a certain reward. I love discovering what makes each individual tick. Each learner is different and takes in material in ways unique to their own style. Uncovering that mystery brings me great joy.

Generally, I start by talking with the parents privately to discover what they want achieved through the sessions. Then I work individually with the student and provide various assessments to determine their strengths and weaknesses. I am happy to provide baseline data and bi-weekly progress reports specific to each learner.
