About Maheera

I have extensive experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds since I was 11 years old, and I have taught a variety of subjects.

I always tailor my teaching style to my students, and do my best ot make it fun by including games and challenges to help my students grow!

I love watching students become more confident in their work! It makes me happy to help students gain the skills they need to succeed in any subject!

I have always loved teaching. I have always taken it upon myself to make my skills available to those that wanted to improve themselves in any way shape or form. I love watching students grow and become more comfortable with a subject that they are unfamiliar with, and become increasingly confident!

I have been teaching and tutoring for 10 years. I have taught students from age 2-18 in a variety of subjects, ranging from English, Spanish, Math, Science, History, and test prep.

About the lesson

I like to start with some samples a student's work, and talk to them about how they feel about a subject.

Once I understand where they are at and what type of improvements they want to work on, we'll work on assignments together or practice with some worksheets on our own.

I have worked with students aged 2-19 from a wide range of backgrounds.

Make sure you are comfortable with your tutor. Find a tutor you are able to be open with and that you think can answer your questions. Make sure you choose someone you feel will be receptive to any question you may have.

Details

I charge $15-45 an hour, depending on the subject. I don't like to hold sessions that last more than an hour a half at a time, since the student often gets tired and will not retain as much information.
