About Carson
I have always had a passion for helping others throughout my educational career especially with math and english. I come from a family of teachers so you could say it's in my blood. I have completed up to Calculus 2 and college English 2 at my university and have tutoring experience up to pre-calculus.
Since I was in preschool my mom and grandmother were teachers so the feild has always been very special to me. I spent my entire childhood picking up teaching strategies and into high school I applied what I knew to better relate to my teachers. Now that I am in college I am looking to tutor like I did for my friends in high school but on a bigger scale.

About the lesson

First I will ask the student to provide me with as many materials as they can. Then we will discuss recent lessons and have them teach me to the best of their abilites. After I have learned what they are comfortable with, then we will look at homework and any classwork that needs reviewing. If there is an upcoming assessment we will try problems related to what we have gone over and then finish with a conclusive review.
Find someone you feel you will personally relate to. Learning is a very emotional thing and if you feel you emotions are not being brought into the lesson then furthering you knowledge will be very difficult. Remaining confident and interested are 2 of the best ways to work towards success with your school work.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students must do self-reflection in order to find out what they truly need. Ask teachers about their success stories and how they have made their lessons interesting in the past. Ask them how they motivate students who begin to think negatively. Make sure the teacher or tutor has a plan in place that will be most beneficial.
