About Jada

My business stands out because not so long ago, I was a student in high school. I struggled in plenty of classes but I overcame my struggles when I got help. I ended up graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA and I am now in college with a 3.7 GPA. Given the current pandemic, I want to provide the same effort that was given to me, to other kids. I want to make sure they are getting the attention and motivation necessary to succeed in their classes, even when theyre at home.

I get started teaching after figuring out a set time for the student. I have a google classroom in which each student will get the daily zoom link to join and start the tutoring sessions. I typically dont time my sessions because I like to make sure, each student is getting everything they need done and they also understand the work theyre doing. However, I do tend to have a cut off time for 3 hours.

I have my high school diploma.

About the lesson

My process for working with new students is to have a regular zoom call with them and the parents where we discuss the parents concerns/questions and also figure out what the student needs help with.

I have worked with students ranging from ages 8-13. These students are mostly 5th grade-8th graders. I also work great with students who need a little extra motivation to get through their homework.

I would advise them to first look at what they offer in terms of subjects and prices. But next, look at the type of person they are. Everyone needs a certain type of tutor. Not every tutors work style will work for every child and that is okay.

I am most fond of starting affirmations with one of my tutoring students. I have learned that this has helped him throughout the tutoring session. Saying a simple "I can do whatever I put my mind to" goes a long way.
