About Kiarra
I am an elementary school math teacher! I have 3 years of teaching experience. I am a passionate educator who seeks to help educate children through engaging lessons and through the use of technology.
I was fortunate enough to have a dream of teaching elementary and that is what I was able to do straight out of college.
I have a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on Masters in Education degree. I am a Teach For America Alumni, so I have received ample training from the organization.

About the lesson

The first session is an opportunity for me to get to know a student and they are able to get to know me. It is important to build strong relationships with students so they are able to feel comfortable. I will then give the student a number of small diagnostic assessments. Each session after that students will first do a fluency activity then activities to completion their own. I will work through the activities with the student
I have taught a wide range of very diverse students.
