About Sunny

I started tutoring students during my sophomore year of high school. I worked at an after school daycare, where I help third and fourth graders with their math homework. I then began tutoring sophomores during my senior year in high school in subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and algebra 2.

I am currently a first-year computer science major at San Jose State University. As a CS major, I have enjoyed math and taken many math courses so far.

When I work with a student, I always try my best in helping them find the answers on their own, instead of giving out answers. I do so by making sure that students understand the concepts before moving on to specific problems because when you understand a concept, you are able to apply them to any problem.

I have worked with third and fourth-grade students, as well as sophomores in high school.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would ask my students to try the problem first and write out their thinking process/ show their work on paper. If the student still cannot answer the question, I will come in and provide help. However, I will not simply provide the answer. I will go through the problem step by step and make sure the student understands each step before proceeding.
