About Pamela

Hi! my name is Pamela. I'm new doing this, I don't have so much experience teaching, but for sure I have experience as a student, so I know the challenge being and student is and how hard it can be to balance your routine with things you want to do and learn.

I'm a civil engineering and business student, I speak English and Spanish, being Spanish my mother language. I love to travel and I love to learn and since I speak English I've had so many doors opened up for me that I want people to get out of their comfort zone and do something different.

I'm always looking forward to new experiences, so if you are too, let me know, maybe we can inspire each other while learning/teaching a new language.

I love that I can learn, there are a lot of things we don't know and people will usually minimize others for not knowing something they know, but they never consider that they are probably things that the other person knows that you might not know. For me, the greatest thing of learning is that it teaches you how ignorant you are, because you never stop learning, if you do then you are stuck.

Teaching related I don't have experience. My experience is based on a student's Point of view, where you go to class and have to figure things out for yourself because teachers will only give a lecture and that's it. I believe in investigation and small research projects because when you str trying to resolve it you might find the information you didn't know you would be interested in, so that will expand your horizon.

About the lesson

First I get to know the person. What do you like, your hobbies and how good or bad do you used to be back in school. The reason for that one is so I can have the chance to create an approach that may keep you interested in learning. I've always thought that if you don't like to learn it because nobody has ever tried to look for what you are interested in.

Then I focus on what the person wants to learn by topic and in general, and mostly if there are any questions that I might help solve and if I cant right away, then I will Seach the information and prepare it for the next class

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What's your goal. when you have a goal for what you are doing things start to come into place. Sometimes you get tired and things seem meaningless but after you take a break and a deep breath and then you remember your final goal (no matter how impossible it may look like) you will get back on track.

I've always lived by the phrase "If you can dream it you can make it ", because if our brain is able to imagine it, then it's able to achieve it
