About Dhar
I am a semi-retired civil and mechanical engineer currently teaching Math, Statistics, Physics, Software Development, and Deep Neural Networks for the love of it. I worked 25 years developing technology software, so I am pretty good with applied math too.
I believe in setting high expectations and hard work. I teach for mastery. We go over concepts until we get them right. And we will use a data driven approach to track progress
My goal is to make you succeed!
When I see the proverbial "light bulb" go off for my students, it really makes my day. Success breeds self confidence and enthusiasm. Seeing that enthusiasm on my students faces is what I enjoy most.
I got my first taste of teaching 4 years ago when I signed up as a coach for my son's MathCounts competition team. I was hooked!
Bachelors and Masters in Engineering with 25+ yrs experience in technical computing

Look for a teacher who encourages critical thinking. Not just one who provides answers, but someone who teaches you to ask the right questions

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Do I know exactly where I need help? Do I know how much time I will devote to the study? Am I committed to doing whatever it takes to succeed in this subject? Do I know exactly what time constraints and location constraints I have, so I can plan my study schedule?

Perfect! Very helpful with helping me understand the material.
Perfect! TODAY was the day I finally passed my test, I am so thankful. You were patient and kind and took your time to really look at my strengths and weaknesses and determine where I needed help the most! I finally obtained my GED, again thank you! Totally recommend! :)
Perfect! Prior to hiring this tutor I had not done any math in over 15 years. I was very insecure in my ability to complete the assigned Math course for my college degree. With the help of my tutor, I went from scoring grades in the low 60s to scoring 80s and above without assistance. I am very happy with my results and more confident in my Math course.
Perfect! I liked that I someone contacted me the next day because I really needed tutoring asap! The tutor that contacted me was Dhar who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly, he made the math easy to understand!! 💯 recommended!!
Perfect! First of all Dhar was very easy to talk to and understand. He made algebra easy for me. He broke down the problems step by step and simplified them. I was really struggling but, now I know it's just a matter of understanding and breaking down the problems in steps, which he did. I 100 % recommend Dhar for any type of math!! Thanks again Dhar!!
