About Sydney
I am passionate about problem solving, and have experience tutoring mathematics at Westminister High School. Also, as a senior in Mathematical Science Major at University of California Santa Barbara, I believe that I have sufficient knowledge to help you with any high school or lower division college math problem.
I enjoy thinking creatively to come up with solutions to math problems. It is satisfying to help someone with math so that they feel more confident solving problems.
I tutored mathematics at Westminister High school for a school year and got hands on experience with a variety of students.
In June I will have a Mathematical Sciences degree. Also, I tutored mathematics at Westminister high school for a school year.

My typical process working with a new student is that I let them start off each problem and talk about what they know in order to analyze where they need help, and how to explain it relevantly to what they already know. I find that each student has different strengths, and it is important to analyze those in order to study more efficiently and effectively.
I have worked in an AVID classroom; where I would tutor five AP Calculus students at once. I was also assigned students who were failing their math classes, and helped them earn passing grades.
