About Lezah
I have been an educator for 5 years now and nothing beats the look on my students' faces when they're having fun while learning. I have learned that the best way to break an educational barrier is through incorporating fun. My method of tutoring inculdes music, art, games, and dancing. Students have short brain breaks in between lessons with virtual art games, mini dance parties, sing alongs, scavenger hunts and more. Simultaneously keeping a balance of work and fun, students will be guided through a custom lesson plan specially tailored to their needs and goals.
I have worked as an after school teacher for three years and a teaching assistant and social emotional learning specialist for two years. During my years as an after school teacher, I had the opportunity to work with an organization that specialized in the arts. I spent much of my time conducting art projects, talent shows, inclusive games, and many other engaging activities.
My years working as a teaching assistant and soical emotional learning specialist exposed me to a more rigorous schedule. One that included creating lesson plans, individual needs assessment, teaching full class and small group lessons, maintaining a harmonious classroom structure, and teaching students to learn as opposed to simply memorizing information.
I graduted from college with a bachelors in sociology. Right after college I started working as an after school teacher then soon after as a teachers assistant. I recieved a promotion as a social emotional learning specialist where I was able to add my sociology background to my role as an educator.

My usual process for getting to know a new student is playing an ice breaker game followed by a fun "get to know each other" game. Once we've broken the ice, we get right to work. Every lesson moving forward will start with an ice breaker or a "get to know each other" game as a way to conintuously build on our friendship.
I have worked with elementary and middle school students. I have taught from grades K-6th grade.
