About Haley

I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from GSU and am currently studying for my actuarial science exams.

I love helping other students with difficult math subjects. Sometimes it's just one concept that someone is struggling with, and once it's understood, the rest of the math comes easy! I truly enjoy helping students grasp those concepts and get past those difficult roadblocks!

Looking over the textbook or information for each lesson to be tutored, then helping the student to understand the basics of that lesson before moving on to the more difficult practice questions. I love flash cards, but sometimes formulas cannot be easily remembered from them, so depending on the lesson, I will come up with fun ways to understand the math.

Don't be afraid of the big picture! Nail down the little details and concepts first and then the big picture will come into play naturally. I struggled with math in high school, but finally had a professor in college that taught a subject in a way I hadn't learned before. Once I got the hang of it, I ended up finishing college with a Math degree!
