About Vox

I have a broad variety of knowledge when it comes to mathematics, from basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to algebra 1 and geometry. I have just completed my 8th grade year of school, and can offer tutoring for Geometry, Algebra, Volume, Area, Capacity, and much much more. My dad is a math tutor, and I enjoy attending math club to broaden my knowledge of the subject, and challenge myself to learn new concepts.

I enjoy teaching students struggling, or students just looking to go further ahead of their curriculum. I enjoy helping others reach their goals and learn new concepts. I attend the math club at my school and the competition in which my team won “Best Rookie School” behind me and my peers. A little about me is that I am 13, about to begin 9th grade, like sports, gaming, and music. In my free time I like to practice basketball, volleyball, play video games, and hang out with friends.

I first started teaching math when I was asked to do tutoring for the incoming math club members from 5th grade. I was called upon to help assist the future competitors in broadening their math skillset, and preparing them to compete for our school when they reach 6th grade. I also worked with the team in our practices, helping those struggling, and pushing those who wanted to learn more.

I have been in math club at my school since 6th grade when I was first eligible, and have been helping the new members learn advanced concepts in order to increase their knowledge, and sharpen their minds. I have just finished 8th grade with straight A’s finishing top of my class. I have participated in 2 math competitions for my school and lead my teammates to win “best rookie school” in our second year as a team, as the team captain.

About the lesson

When teaching, I like to understand where the student is as far as their knowledge and skillset. I like to question how much they have learned, and where they stand.

I have worked with kids as young as 5th grade preparing them to compete for my schools math club when they became eligible in 6th grade. I’ve worked with kids as old as myself in 8th grade, helping those who didn’t understand tough problems, or just needed introduction to new math concepts.
