About Brian
Hello! My name is Brian--I have been the owner and director of the Lamorinda Learning Clinic in Lafayette, CA since 2014. I have tutored levels from pre-K to college in multiple subjects since 2000 in other institutions.
Although I received my degree in English from the University of California at Davis, I developed a love for teaching Algebra and establishing the foundation for it. Math was challenging for me growing up, so I have spent many years coming up with methods that would have helped me when I was younger.
The most important quality I have as a tutor is patience. I will not bulldoze through material if it is not sticking--we will step back and figure out things at a speed that works for you. I respect that people learn at all different paces!
