About Katy

I am able to help and provide support in any area that your child needs with a wide range of strategies for all types of learners. I have taught elementary school for 8 years. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, therefore I have a wide range of knoweledge and expertise of the curriculum. I am still currently an elementary school teacher for a school district in Orange County, CA. I've earned a multiple subject teaching credential with an emphasis in technology from California State University, Fullerton. I also earned a masters degree in Education Administration from Concordia University. I am an Apple Educator and a Google Level 1 Educator.

I love being able to help students find their "Ah ha!" moments. When it clicks and the light bulb is turned on, it builds confidence in my students. Learning new and different ways to solve problems or approach a concept is what I like most about teaching. I enjoy challenging my students and helping them grow.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I am a third generation teacher in my family. Therefore, I attended college to become a teacher.

I have a multiple subject teaching credential with an emphasis in technology from California State University, Fullerton. In addition, I received a masters degree in Education Administration from Concordia University. I earned my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University. I have worked in the Tustin Unified School District as a full time elementary school teacher for 8 years, teaching grades 2, 3, and 5.
