About Alexander
I strive to help my students properly understand and apply math concepts and facts. Not just knowing how to do the steps for a particular type of math problem. I teach math topics by representing problems visually as much as possible. To accomplish this, I utilize, drawings, graphs and pictures at every opportunity. This allows students to see how and why the math works. I also connect math problems and concepts with things they are already familiar with in real life.
I love math and I enjoy helping students gain a better understanding of math topics. Not only to help my students become successful in their math classes. But also to help students overcome their fear and frustrations with math. Math is a broad and fascinating topic that is useful for understanding and appreciating nearly everything around us. I enjoy helping students on their journey toward becoming more confident and capable in their math knowledge and skills.
I have taken several math courses through out my years in college. I am familiar with topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Calculus. Currently I have experience tutoring high school and college students in, basic math, Algebra 1 and 2 and Geometry.

My son has been doing math with Alex for over 3 years, Alex has been very flexible around sports schedules and vacations. When my son had a test or quiz Alex made sure he was ready. Alex also made sure he was prepared for the Algebra EOC and Biology EOC.
