About Hannan
I have tutored in past and I have noticed that most kids know the material, they just lack the confidence in themselves to trust their answers. I'm big on making sure that as the student, you feel comfortable with yout knowledge- no more second guessing!
When a student understands something and the light bulb goes off in their head you can see it on their faces and thats the best feeling.
I love working with kids and I know how frustrating is it not understanding something, so I understand first hand how a little extra help goes a long way.
I am currently finishing up my last semester at the University of Southern California studying biomedical engineering with an electrical engineering emphasis. I've also tutored before on and off during the school year and in high school

First, I like to speak to the student and see what subjects they feel the least comfortable with, how they are in school, and how they usually do their homework. After that initial conversation, I like communicating with the parent and getting their opinion on this situation. Then I can really grasp where and how the student needs help and we can go from there. Usually, it starts with a review of the concept and understanding what is needed to complete the hw and then working through the hw together.
Elementary- High School
Make sure they seem like a person you will comfortable enough talking to. This is a person that you're going to be asking for help so if you feel nervous or shy, maybe they aren't going to be the best teacher for you
