About Katherine

I have my Masters of Arts of Teaching in Special Education as part of a 5 year accelerated program. I am certified in Elementary education K-6, English K-8, Social Studies K-8, and Special Education Prek-12. I have experience with ABA. I have multiple in classroom experiences, and have been subbing for years.

I always wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.

I have an MAT in Special education and a Bachelors in Special education and Elementary education.

About the lesson

I first get to know the student just as a person. I like to use their likes and their lives in my lessons. For example, if we're doing word problems, put them and their best friend in it. I then like to see what they want/need help on. I will assess and then start from there!

General education in grades: 1,2,4,5

Special education:

-4th & 5th LLD Rooms

-4th resource rooms

-Preschool ABA rooms

-In Home ABA

-High School Behavior rooms

Students- look for teachers that want to work with you! I always say pick teachers who you get along with, and who you feel comfortable with, and don't be afraid to ask us questions!

My brother and I (both home due to current events) have been having a midnight snack every night and I'm teaching him how to cook. Tonight we're making scones!
