About Roxane

. As a college student I am aware of the challenges some students face especially with math.

. Math is a basic subjects for may future carrers and degrees ranging from STEM to Business. It is also needed for graduation requirements and can be quite daunting.

. My goal is to relieve some pressure and anxiety students may face when having to take a math class and to help them excel in the easiest and mlost comprehensible way possible.

I am currently a Junior at the University Of California Santa Barbara studying a dual program in Brain sciences and Technology management. This gives me a unique insight in both the STEM world as well as the business world. I optained straight A's in all high schoolo math classes and took 1 year of calculus and statistics during my time at UCSB. I have been an unofficial tutor for several of my friend's and their younger siblings as well as being an official math tutor in high school.

About the lesson

First I will learn about their course material and what they need to understand. Then I will assess the student's difficulties either by asking them, seeing previous tests they took or giving them a quick test myself. I will follow up by using different methods best suited for the student to understand the material rather than memorizing formulas and examples. This way the student can apply the method to new problems and save time as well as perform better.

Middle School, High school and College students. Mainly Algebra students.

Look for someone who understands your personal situation and who is flexibles with their way of teaching, one size does not fit all with regards to explanations. Look for someone who will work with you and be passionate about your success.
