About Morgan
My name is Morgan Zvezdov, and I am a second year Biomedical Science student at King's College London. As I have two younger sisters, my love for teaching has stemmed from the hours spent reading books and solving math problems together with them.
As my passion for science also grew, I looked to combine my skills, and became a teaching assistant at a local coding school. There, I would help young girls learn HTML and CSS languages and encourage their persuit of STEM careers.
Now, I continue my passion in science and teaching as I persue my degree in Biomedical Science. I have taken courses from pharmacology, genetics, cell biology, neuroscience, and anatomy, and have cultivated a strong love for studying the life sciences.
Currently, I am also working with King's iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) research team to develop accessible, and less invasive treatments for spinal cord injury.
Watching students cultivate their knowledge and develop passion is always the goal, and it is a great honor to be apart of such a journey. When someone finally understand a difficult topic, or begins to 'see the forest through the trees' as my biology teacher put it, it is the best feeling.
I started teaching my sisters how to read, play piano, and helped them with homework. As their growth as students and people inspired me, I looked for a teaching assistant position at a local coding school where I taught HTML and CSS coding languages.
Second year Biomedical Science student at King's College London. There, I have taken courses such as pharmacology, anatomy, neuroscience, biochemistry and have a strong passion for genetics and molecular biology.
As a graduate of Lexington High School, I have also taken AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C (Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism) and AP Calculus BC as STEM related courses.

When working with a new student, I like to first discuss what their goals are, so that we may both work to acheive these goals together. Then I like to review what they are passionate about in the subject, and where they would like to improve. Knowing a students strengths and weaknesses is key to developing a deep understanding of any concept or idea.
Children ages 7-16
As a coding teacher, one moment particularly stands out to me. I was helping a young girl fix some of her code, and found that she had simply spelled the word 'color' incorrectly. To my surprise she was only 6 years old, and already learning how to code!! This gave me such hope and inspiration for the future of scientists, engineers, and researchers-- when I was her age I didn't even know what computer coding and software was!

Morgan was so understanding and patient. The sciences have never been my strong suit and she took her time finding study methods that worked for me and going over confusing topics. She additionally was so accomodating of timing and was always extremely punctual.
