About Diane

My service is exceptional. I am available to tutor students on any day that works for a parent's schedule. I have 22 years of outstanding experience in teaching students. I retired from teaching in both public and private schools with an excellent rating from the Ohio Department of Education.

I enjoy working with children and seeing them make progress. I am most happy when students are excited about learning and wanting to know more.

I am a retired elementary educator with 21 years of experience teaching all subject areas. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in grades 1-8 from Miami University. I have a Masters of Science in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I have had numerous professional developments for reading and math throughout the 21 years of my professional experience.

About the lesson

I spend the first session getting to know the student and what his/her strengths are. What he/she likes about school and what are the dislikes. I try to find out what the particular struggle is in the subject.

Mrs. Spaeth has shown me how to read. She has given me the right strategies to use when I get to a word I do not know. She is awesome.
