About Omri

I love to teach. If you or your child are in need of extra help with math and science fields, I would love to help! I have a masters in material science engineering and extensive industry experience. During college I was a teaching assistant. I have a lot to teach if you are interested to learn!

Those aha moments that students have when a new concept is grasped is the driving force to teach.

First by learning about the student, their learning desires, and asking them a series of questions which help me understand their learning styles.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Material Science and Engineering. I have almost 10 years of industry experience in engineering, business development, and operations. During college, I was a teaching assistant and ran grant programs for Professors where student development was critical to project success.

About the lesson

First, we have to get to know each other a bit! Spend time to learn about our interests and hobbies. From there, we need to find out what topics you would like to focus on with our tutoring sections. Then, I will ask some questions to better understand the type of learner the student is (ie. visual, audible). From there, I will build a teaching strategy and we will continue to refine as we go based on the students feedback.

I have worked mostly college level engineering students. I have worked with some high school and middle school level math and science students as well.

Hey students, be curious! Ask questions. Ask the teacher why are they the best teacher for them. In my opninion, this is a fundamental basis for learning and should be the foundation of the student/teacher relationship.

Recently I helped my mother transition her glass art business to cope with the changing business environment that was accelerated by Covid-19. We completely reinvented her sales strategy, optimized business overhead, and and overhauled her E-commerce/online presence to meet the needs of today's customers. The improvement in her stress levels and the ability to see the future of her business has truly warmed my heart over the last year.
