About Daylon
I am here to help those who struggle with the basics. I am here to help those who need a more simple way to understand the subject at hand. I too used to have a hard time understanding match while everyone around me made it seem so easy. Through the years I have learned how to make the problems correlate to a subject my students understand to help them gain the answer.
Ex. 6+8=?
Math Pro Break down: (student likes race cars)
If you have 8 race cars and I sale you 6 more how many do you have 12 now if your mom gifts you with 2 more how many do you have 14. So now we know our answer is 14.
I started tutoring in math and writing as a senior in high school. Where I graduated from( Las Vegas,NV) had a very low education rate. As someone who moved from Tennessee a high ranking state in education, I felt I should use my strengths to help those who don't get offered the proper educational support.
High school graduate
current college student at Harrris Stowe State University in Saint Louis Missouri.

My typical process of working with new students goes as follows:
I first begin to learn my student find out what their strong/ weak points are. Next step I would create a mini pre-test just so I can see exactly where the mishap is coming into play. From there I continue to learn the student what he/she likes and dislikes so I have something to relate the problems to. I'd make sure I'm there to help every step of the way but not take over so they're still eligible to accomplish the problems themselves.
I have worked with dyslexic children. Young children ages 6-15 who need easier methods to learn other than the traditional teacher methods.
Recently my niece who is 5 years old came over and was having a full blown fit because she couldn't understand how to count past 10 on her hands to answer the equation 10+9. So I stepped in and made it easier and fun, by doing the candy method. We poor our favorite candy out on a napkin set 10 to one side and counted in 9 more for her to get 19! She was able to get the answer and have a sweet snack before dinner.
