About Shalina
I am currently a student myself and I truly have a passion for learning and service. I enjoy taking the time with students to help them reach their highest potentials. I am very patient and always willing to go the extra mile to see my student excel not just in the classroom but in their everyday lives. I have a host a nieces and nephews i have tutored for the past 8 years, and i have tutored professionally for a few years. I am currently pursing a degree in nursing.
The best part is seeing the confidence grow in a child. Many children often tell themselves they CANT do something and i love to show them that they CAN.
I do not have any formal training, but I do have years of experience tutoring from elementary to high school students and I am quite adept on multiple subject matters.

First I would like to sit with the parents or guardian and ask what roadblocks their child is having at school, next I ask to see some sort of progress report and get an idea of what i am working with and then i like to ask the parents what are their goals for their child. Once I have completed this interview with the parent I proceed to ask the child the same questions, i compare the two and form a plan from there.
